Have you ever felt humbled by an act of kindness? Have you ever witnessed something so generous in spirit that you felt it? Have you ever really needed some help and out of the blue "an angel" came to rescue you? These people walk among us every day. They notice when you need help and they offer. Sometimes even when you decline, they do it anyway, because while your words convey your confidence to handle it, these people are not listening to your words, they are listening to your heart.
How many times have you noticed someone in need of help but didn't want to get involved? How many times are you too busy to stop and take a moment to offer assistance? Let me ask you how many times you thought about that person or opportunity after the moment had passed with regret or worry?
Don't waste another opportunity.
Take Action: This week, take note of strangers helping one another. Then make it a point to look for your own chance.
"I need your grace, to remind me, to find my own." (- lyrics from Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol)
The benefit? You will receive the unexpected gifts of grace; in witness or in action. It's a beautiful thing to watch or take part of making a small difference in the world through a small act of kindness. These small acts have a ripple effect on everything and everyone around you.
Imagine what the world would be like if just once a day, everyone helped someone, out of genuine goodness with an open heart and zero expectations.
This week, feel: Grace.
